Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Sozialpsychologie, Note: 1,3, Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (Lehrstuhl für Sozialpsychologie), Veranstaltung: Soziale Interaktionen, 4 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: „Wir alle spielen Theater!“ Hört man den Begriff der „Rolle“ so denkt man zuerst an eine Theater- oder eine Schauspielrolle , wie die Rolle des James Bond der nur durch neue Akteure, wie der jetzige Bond Daniel Craig besetzt wird. Dieser Gedanke ist hinsichtlich der Rollentheorie nicht ganz verkehrt. Der Begriff „Rolle“ stammt aus der Theatersprache, er drückte in der Antike Regieanweisung und Dialoge aus (vgl. Gollwitzer / Schmitt 2006 S. 78). Dabei schlüpfte der Mensch als Schauspieler in eine bestimmte Rolle, während er die andere abstreift (vgl. Wiswede 1977 S. 19). Ausgehend von dieser Denkweise lautet die Definition einer Rolle wie folgt: „die Gesamtheit aller Verhaltenserwartungen, die an den Inhaber einer Position herangetragen werden.“ (Gollwitzer / Schmitt 2006 S. 79) Rollen können damit als ein Bündel generalisierter und normativer Verhaltensweisen verstanden werden (vgl. Mayntz 1980 S. 2043).

Soziale Rollen stellen den Schnittpunkt zwischen Individuum und Gesellschaft da, deren Inhalte von der Gesellschaft bestimmt werden. Dabei gibt es nicht nur die eine, universal gültige Rollentheorie. Es existiert eine Reihe von unterschiedlichen rollentheoretischen Perspektiven, welche den Begriff Rolle theoretisch anders auffassen. Drei von den Perspektiven sollen im ersten Abschnitt dieser Hausarbeit näher beschrieben werden. Nach den drei Perspektiven möchte ich mich mit den rollentheoretischen Problemen und Konflikten näher befassen. Nach den verschiedenen Perspektiven und Konflikten möchte ich zu den Rollentheorien kommen. Den Abschluss dieser Hausarbeit wird ein kurzes Fazit mit Anwendungsbereichen und Problemen der Rollentheorie bilden.
