Europäer und die Missionierung durch die Christen weltweit, sprechen wir von
bahnbrechenden wie aber auch genickbrechenden Tatendrängen. Gerade der „schwarze“
Planet Afrika wurde dabei wie von einer Pest heimgesucht, die bis heute als ein Schatten
über unserem Gewissen zu ruhen scheint. Der ärmste und kränkste Kontinent unseres
Planeten ringt um Luft zu überleben; doch diese Luft ist voll von fremden Gedanken und
erschwert das Entfalten der eigenen kulturellen Identität Afrikas. Diese wurde im Laufe der
Geschichte entscheidend verändert. Die Versklavung und Unterdrückung kreativer
Individuen durch die Wissenschaft befleckte das über Generationen mündlich überlieferte
Wissen der verschiedenen Stämme Afrikas und hat es teilweise irreparabel verformt. Doch
während die allwissende Seele Afrikas blutet, sorgen sich gebildete afrikanische
Philosophen um die Stillung der Wunde und darüber hinaus um die Befreiung
Jahrhunderte langer geistiger Unterdrückung durch den eurozentrischen Stempel
(Habermas). Im Kampf um eine Entkolonialisierung ringt Afrika um eine neue kulturelle
Identität und versucht sich durch die Rückbesinnung auf das Eigene postkolonial neu zu
orientieren. Das erdrückende, die afrikanische Mentalität prägende Erbe der Kolonialzeit
bedeutet noch heute eine geistige Sklaverei im eigenen Lande !
