Gesundheitspsychologie, Psychopathologie, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Dieser Artikel soll in einem kurzen Abriss auf die Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen dem schon lange bestehenden Phänomen des Schamanismus und moderner Psychotherapie hinweisen. Dies geschieht auf der Grundlage ethnologischer, ethnopsychologischer und religionswissenschaftlicher Autoren. Im Rahmen dieses Artikels können nur Auszüge der Komplexe Schamanismus und Psychotherapie beleuchtet werden. Diese Ausführungen erheben daher keinen Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit. Anhand von wenigen Fallbeispielen aus verschiedenen gesellschaftlichen Kontexten und Zeiten lässt sich freilich kein repräsentativer diachroner Querschnitt erstellen. Die folgende Gegenüberstellung soll exemplarisch im Rahmen der qualitativen ethnologischen Forschung verstanden werden, und sich gleichzeitig durch den Vergleich verschiedener Komponenten einer geahnten Ganzheitlichkeit annähern.
Vor allem wird der Schamanismus der Afrobrasilianer betrachtet. Um den psychotherapeutischen Aspekt von Schamanimus zu beleuchten, habe ich vor allem Hannes Stubbes Geschichte der Psychologie in Brasilien (1987) verwendet. Die Zielsetzung ist herauszuarbeiten, worin die Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede des hier beschriebenen Candomblé im afrobrasilianischen Kontext vor etwa 20 Jahren und Psychotherapie in Deutschland zeitgleich bis heute liegen.
gibt es durchaus Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen Schamanismus und Psychotherapie. Der Entstehungskontext und der Prägungskontext der Anwender darf jedoch nie außer Acht gelassen werden.
Es also durchaus ein zulässiger Schluss, eine Mischung aus Psychotherapie und Versenkungszustand, Rückführung und dem Versuch der Artikulation von Unbewusstem für einen psychischen Heilungsprozess als sinnvoll zu erachten. Ob nun in „traditionell“ durch schamanisches Wirken geprägter Umgebung als auch in modernen Industriegesellschaften. Im Ende gilt es doch vor allem offen zu sein, für das, was einem hilft, dem Ziel der Ausgeglichenheit und Zufriedenheit näher zu kommen.
