Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Philosophie außerhalb der abendländischen Tradition, Note: 1,0, Technische Universität Dresden (Institut für Philosophie), Veranstaltung: Ethik in den Weltreligionen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Seminararbeit soll der chinesische Philosoph LAO-TSE (sprich Laudse) und das ihm zugeschriebene bedeutende Werk der menschlichen Geistesgeschichte das TAO TE KING (Daudedsching) näher betrachtet werden. Dabei sollen die verschiedenen Einflüsse dieses Zeitalters für ein besseres Verständnis der Beweggründe LAO-TSEs, diese Weisheitslehre zu verfassen, in einen sozialgeschichtlichen Kontext eingeordnet werden. Neben einem kurzen Lebenslauf LAO-TSEs soll der Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit auf die Lehre des Alten Meisters gelegt werden. Ein Hauptaugenmerk soll dabei der Fragestellung gewidmet sein, welche Leitsätze und Hauptaussagen dieser chinesischen Philosophie der Antike entnommen werden können. Im Speziellen soll der Versuch einer Interpretation eines ausgewählten Textabschnittes unternommen werden, indem auch der Frage nach der Rolle der vielseitigen Übersetzungsmöglichkeiten der chinesischen bildlichen Schriftzeichen nachgegangen werden soll.
Als wissenschaftliche Grundlagen zur Klärung dieser Fragen dienen unter anderem die schriftlichen Übersetzungen von europäischen Autoren wie RICHARD WILHELM, BODO KIRCHNER, sowie ERNST SCHWARZ. Aber auch Sekundärliteratur, wie die Monographien KALTENMARKs, „Lao-tzu und der Taoismus“, KHONRYs, „Das Ethos der Weltreligionen; Das Ethos des Konfuzianismus und Daoismus“, sowie „Lau-dse; Führung und Kraft aus der Ewigkeit“ von ROUSSELLE werden hierfür herangezogen, um die Ansichten und Meinungen anderer Philosophen sowie den Forschungsstand mit einzubeziehen.
