Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Kunst - Bildende Künstler, Note: 1,0 mit Auszeichnung, Universität zu Köln (Institut für Kunst und Kunsttheorie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Seminar „Idee und Haltung“ im Wintersemester 2010/2011 wurden uns durch Referate verschiedene Künstler vorgestellt. Am 27.11.2010 referierte ich über den Künstler Donald Judd. Im Referat ging ich zuerst auf die Entstehung der Minimal Art ein. Dann stellte ich Judds künstlerische Entwicklung, seine Haltung zur Skulptur und zur Malerei dar um dann auf seine „spezifischen Objekte“ einzugehen.
In der vorliegenden Ausarbeitung zu dem Künstler möchte ich diese Themen genauer erläutern und darlegen. Hierbei werde ich nicht wie im Referat die Werke des Künstlers erläutern, sondern im Hauptteil unter Punkt vier auf den theoretischen Hintergrund seiner Arbeiten eingehen. Zuerst werde ich allerdings zum besseren Verständnis des Künstlers und der Zeit, in der er lebte, unter Punkt zwei auf die Biografie des Künstlers eingehen und unter Punkt drei die Minimal Art, die Kunstrichtung, der Judd angehörte, kurz erläutern. Unter Punkt vier eins werde ich die Entwicklung der Kunst von Donald Judd von der Malerei zu seinen spezifischen Objekten in Theorie und Praxis behandeln und unter Punkt vier zwei auf das Material Farbe in Judds Werken eingehen. Unter Punkt 5 werde ich die Arbeit mit einem Fazit abschließen.
