Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Wohnen, Stadtsoziologie, Note: 1,3, Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main (Fachbereich Soziale Arbeit und Gesundheit), Veranstaltung: Gesellschaft, Ökonomie, Sozialstaat- sozialpolitische Bezüge, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der demografische Wandel in Deutschland schreitet immer weiter voran. Die Menschen werden immer älter, während zu wenig junger Nachwuchs geboren wird. Die Folge: eine alternde Gesellschaft, wodurch eine Umstrukturierung beispielsweise in der Altersvorsorge vorgesehen werden muss. Demografischer Wandel und sozialstaatliche Veränderungen bedingen sich somit wechselseitig.

In der vorliegenden Hausarbeit befasse ich mich zunächst mit der Bevölkerungsstruktur in Deutschland von der alten BRD bis heute und gehe in dessen Kontext auf die „demografische Alterung" ein. Im weiteren Verlauf erläutere ich die vier Faktoren Fertilität, Mortalität, Migration und Altersstruktur, durch die demografischer Wandel entsteht. Anschließend stelle ich dar, welche Bereiche des deutschen Sozialstaats der demografische Wandel besonders in Veränderungen sind. (Anmerkung: in der gesamten
Hausarbeit befasse ich mich ausschließlich auf Deutschland!)

Im weiteren Verlauf analysiere ich aus persönlichem Interesse den Stadtteil Frankfurt- Riederwald (dort lebe und arbeite ich in der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe) und vergleiche die Bevölkerungsstruktur, die Zu- und Abwanderung, die Arbeitslosenquote und das Medianalter des Stadtteils mit der gesamten Stadt Frankfurt am Main. Aus
Platzgründen kann ich leider nicht auf noch mehr Aspekte eingehen. Darauf aufbauend stelle ich das Konzept des Quartiersmanagement Riederwaldes vor, welches im Jahr 2010 die „Sozialraumanalyse Riederwald" veröffentlichte.
