nichttechnischen Unterrichtsmedien.1
Das Arbeitsblatt hat eine Reihe positiver Eigenschaften, die in
bestimmten Phasen des Unterrichts zur Lernoptimierung beitragen
können. Dazu muss man aber deutlich sagen, dass das Arbeitsblatt
keinen Vorrang vor anderen Medien hat.2
Es gibt eben nicht das optimale Medium, sondern jedes Medium muss
seinen spezifischen Eigenschaften entsprechend eingesetzt werden,
so dass es für das jeweilige Thema und die Schülergruppe den
größten Nutzen bringt.3
Während Karl-Heinz Gehlhaar 1980 noch schreibt, dass Arbeitsblätter
aufgrund der Schwierigkeiten bei der Vervielfältigung recht selten im
Unterricht eingesetzt werden,4 kann man in neuerer Literatur eher
entgegengesetzte Aussagen finden.
In dem Praxisband „Unterrichtsmethoden“ von Hilbert Meyer liest man
davon, dass die Schüler heute mit Arbeitsblättern regelrecht überflutet
werden. Das liegt daran, dass es heute sehr einfach ist, für den
jeweiligen Unterricht individuell gestaltete Texte zu gestalten und zu
vervielfältigen: Fast jeder Lehrer hat Zugang zu einem Computer, in
den Schulen stehen Kopiergeräte zur Verfügung usw.
Auch die Kultusminister warnen die Schulen vor der allgemeinen
Kopierflut und Kopierwut. Stattdessen fordern sie einen bescheidenen,
ausschließlich pädagogisch sinnvollen Einsatz.5
Der genannte Gesichtspunkt der individuellen Gestaltung ist der größte
Vorteil, den das Arbeitsblatt mit sich bringt. Allerdings werden heute
von vielen Schulbuchverlagen Vorlagen für Arbeitsblätter angeboten, wodurch der entscheidende Vorteil der Rücksichtsnahme auf die
individuelle Klassensituation leider verloren geht.6 [...]
